New 2010 Soccer Boots
December 31st, 2009 by admin

Can a high-level player give me an unbiased review of the following soccer Cleats?
I play college soccer, and would appreciate a review from someone who also plays at a high level (college, semi-pro, USDL, etc). I am set to buy 2 new pairs of boots for the upcoming season. For the past 3 years, I’ve worn the tiempo legends. I have loved them, and will definitely buy another pair for the 2010 season.
However, for my second pair, I cannot decide if I should purchase the Nike Classic Lite (http://www.soccer.com/Images/Catalog/ProductImages/300/674144.jpg), the Nike Tiempo Premier (http://soccerequipmentreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/nike-tiempo-94.jpg), or the Adidas Adipure III (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2577/4190050154_e881697a4f.jpg).
If anyone has worn these, could you do me a favor and write a quick review of one- or more- of them! Include the positives and negatives regarding: touch/feel, comfort, stability, etc. I would greatly appreciate it!
Keep in mind that I play defense/midfield. Thanks!
Looking at the cleats you’ve chosen, I made a guesstimate of your budget: low $100’s. I, personally, am in love with the Nike Mercurial VI’s (vapors) because (either this is mental or real) it weighs 230 grams/8.1 oz at a size 9, and I feel faster in these boots. It’s made of teijin leather which offers comfort, although it is rather stiff when new. Warning though: if you have narrow feet do NOT get these. Anyhow, try this site http://blog.avidsoccer.com/categories/Boots.aspx for reviews.
Adidas Predator Powerswerves are decent, and should suit you well and they’re about your price range. I personally prefer the Tiempos over the Classics because they feel nicer (just my opinion).
If you’re looking for really nice, the Lotto Zero Gravity is godly.
